This is a camera for 3D picking in factory automation (FA).
The Moiré projector lens projects a stripe pattern, which is captured by the imaging lens, enabling not only object detection but also recognition of the detailed shape and size of the object.
It can be used in a wide range of applications for industrial robots.

This customer wanted to do 3D picking for an industrial robot by projecting a stripe pattern with a projector, detecting the object with an imaging lens, and recognizing the shape and size of the object.
When we proposed the RDL (ultra-low-distortion lens unit), which is characterized by its low distortion and wide angle, and can also save space, the customer was interested.
