Is coating on lenses possible ?

Yes, TOYOTEC, which operates the Optical Design Technology Navigator, can coat on lenses.

In addition to the AR (anti-reflection) coating and metal reflection mirror coating (total reflection, aluminum and copper) commonly used for basic optical products, TOYOTEC can also provide hard coatings to improve stain resistance, water and oil repellency, and wear resistance. Both vacuum deposition (glass/plastic) and sputtering (plastic only) methods are available.

About AR (Anti-Reflection) Coating
As light passes from air through an uncoated glass or plastic substrate, the light is reflected at each boundary surface and some is absorbed. As a result, only a limited amount of incident light passes through the substrate, reducing the throughput (the amount of light energy transmitted). Anti-Reflection (AR) coatings are also used to efficiently pass the light through, reduce ghost images, and reduce the risk of light reflecting back into the system within the laser application system and going backwards through the system. We offer single-sided AR coatings, dual-layer AR coatings, and even double-sided multilayer AR coatings.

About V Coating
An anti-reflection V-coating is a type of AR coating designed to improve transmission within a very narrow wavelength range. V coatings are ideal for achieving maximum transmission when using single-frequency or narrow-band lasers or narrower half-width (FWHM) sources.

About Metal reflection (Total Reflection) Mirror Coatings
Aluminum (Al) and copper (Cu) coatings, which are often used for mirror coating in the visible and near-infrared wavelength regions, are available. Our company is capable of coating with overwhelmingly high coverage and reliability on irregularly shaped products.

About Hard Coating
Hard coatings, which increase the durability of plastic cover products, etc., have anti-scratch resistance, water-repellent and oil-repellent properties, and wear resistance.
