The customer was considering introducing an optical technology to detect and measure the pointer of a measuring instrument. However, when the customer commissioned the design from a consulting firm specializing in optical design, the customer could not find a manufacturer that could produce the product according to the design drawings because the manufacturing expertise was not considered.</p>
<p><strong>Why TOYOTEC?</strong><br />
Since TOYOTEC has experience in the design, prototyping and mass production of custom plastic lenses and precision molded products, we were asked to optimize design and production with manufacturability in mind.</p>
<p><strong>Prospects for the Future Based on the Effects and Changes Resulting from the Introduction of the System</strong><br />
TOYOTEC proposed an optimal optical design that met the customer‘s specifications and took manufacturability into consideration to achieve the production. The specially designed plastic lens maximized the amount of the light received by the sensor, which detected the pointer even in low-light conditions. (TOYOTEC patented technology)</p>

The customer was looking for projection and receiver lens units for an anti-collision safety sensor for a small AGV.<br />
They needed design and manufacturing technology using plastic lens units to reduce the size and weight of the product, but lacked the internal resources for in-house design, so they needed a supplier with design expertise who could consider the manufacturability of plastic parts and also provide optical evaluation.</p>
<p><strong>Why TOYOTEC?</strong><br />
Since TOYOTEC has experience in the design, prototyping, assembly, and mass production of plastic lenses and precision molded products, we were asked to optimize the design for manufacturability, build our own evaluation machine to simulate the product environment and verify the evaluation criteria, and the mass production of the products.</p>
<p><strong>Prospects for the Future Based on the Effects and Changes Resulting from the Introduction of the System</strong><br />
We have maintained stable mass production of more than tens of thousands of pieces per year. For more than 10 years, we have contributed to the production realization of optical designs demanded by our customers with our design and development capability based on our rich experience and high production capacity.</p>

<p>This lens module is a lens module that can emit and receive light. We produced a complete set, including the plastic lens for emitting light, the plastic lens for receiving light, the metal and plastic housing, and the substrate.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>AGV: This is a lens unit used in anti-collision sensors for AGVs (Automatic Guided Vehicles). In combination with distance-measuring sensors, it is mainly used in logistics warehouses to prevent collisions with people, objects or other obstacles.</p>
<p>The customer, who had no knowledge of optical units, was looking for a supplier who could provide them with a mechanism design as well as the optical units, and they turned to us. They also wanted to reduce costs by procuring parts in Asia, and the fact that TOYOTEC is present in Asia was one of the reasons for contacting us.</p>
<p>This lens unit uses a bandpass filter that allows only infrared rays to pass through, and designed with a combination of various lenses and mechanical parts. Since we were able to consult with them from the design stage, we were able to provide them with the maximum performance possible to meet their specifications.</p>
