<h3>Hybrid Lens</h3>
<p>Other than glass and plastic lens, we develop a lens called &#8220;hybrid lens&#8221;. A Hybrid lens is a &#8220;combined aspherical lens&#8221; that has the various optical characteristics / environmental resistances of a glass lens, and the high-precision-aspherical character which is made by plastic molding technology.</p>
<p>Every plastic material and manufacturing equipment we use for the hybrid lens is a TOYOTEC original. We co-developed the plastic material used exclusively for hybrid lens with a material manufacturer, and it has the perfect optics and environmental resistance. Hybrid lens is also compatible with single / multi coating for better transmittance.</p>
<p>You can also order optical design using hybrid lens on Optical Design Technology Navigator. For lens units that need multiple lens to meet the required performance level, using hybrid lens can decrease the total weight, reduce the amount of lens, and lower the total cost. We also have established the manufacturing method of large apeture hybrid lens, and we are capable of doing an optical design that no other company can do.</p>

<p>In Optical Design Technology Navigator, you can order the manufacturing of ultraprecise lens core, which is the key to creating plastic lens, and also order tooling design (flow analysis included). It can be said that the outcome of a lens depends on the accuracy of the tooling. We utilize our unique know-how and manufacture high precision aspherical / free form lens using the latest ultra-precision machining equipment.</p>
<p>As assembling tooling needs expert knowledge and techniques, we have constructed a database that is organized by the techniques of our skilled technicians. That is why we are able to efficiently manufacture our tooling even in cases when micro-levels of accuracy is required.</p>
<p>In Optical Design Technology Navigator, ordered tooling are simulated by mold analysis software (MOLD FLOW). PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wide-angle lens capable of favorably correcting various aberrations with a five-lens configuration. A wide-angle lens 11 is composed of a front group G1 and a rear group G2 having a positive refractive power in order from the object side and from the object side. The lens surface (R6) on the side of an image surface (13) of the one of the one or two lenses is an aspherical surface that is convex to the image surface (13) side near the optical axis (Ax) and that is concave to the image surface side at the effective-diameter peripheral edge.
